I’ve written a novel, and in the tradition of Open Source, I’ve published it online for free - though if you try and make money out of it without my permission, then I’ll turn Microsoft on you.

The story is called “I, Palpatine”, and it is trying to explain the biography of Palpatine, the Emperor in the Star Wars films. This topic has hitherto been unexplored. It’s downloadable in PDF format - all one has to do is go to www.sithorder.com/palpatine.php, fill out the form, and the novel will be mailed to your inbox. The novel has been available for some time - many people have been very generous in their comments about it; my story suggests that Palpatine, rather like Vader, started off as a good person who turned to the Dark Side under the pressure of events. I also delve into the origins of Palpatine’s political skills, how he became a Senator, and who exactly was Darth Plagueis.
